If you ever find the directions on the compass or distance are inaccurate, please check the last parking time first, see if it’s the latest one.
If you are absolutely certain that this is your final parking spot, it's important to consider a few factors.
Firstly, the inaccuracy could be due to a weak GPS signal in the area where you parked. This is especially true for locations like underground parking lots, multi-story parking structures, and areas surrounded by tall buildings. In such situations, the GPS information obtained from your phone may not be precise enough. Additionally, the GPS signal has a limited accuracy range of 5 meters, so there may be positioning errors even when the signal appears to be strong.
Secondly, there could be errors with your phone's compass. Sometimes, the compass on your phone may not be entirely accurate. It is recommended to periodically recalibrate your phone's compass by making a figure of eight motion with the device. This will enhance the accuracy of both the direction and distance measurements.
That said, it's important to note that the Car Finder heavily relies on GPS positioning. As mentioned earlier, the GPS system itself may have some level of error, resulting in less precise results from the Car Finder feature.
